Predeceased by his parents Tom and Maisie
It is with deep sadness that Alan’s family share the news of his unexpected death on Saturday, 29 March, 2025 peacefully at home. Deeply loved and mourned by his children Ciara and Laoise Rei, siblings Nora and Patricia, Tony, David, Declan, Gerry and Rory, uncle John Loughnane (Monivea), auntie Bridgie Lyons (Eyrecourt), brothers-in-law Laurence and Mike and sisters-in-law Helen and Tara. Alan will be always remembered fondly by his many friends in particular by Ciara’s mother Aoife, Laoise Rei’s mother Méabh Nic Raghnaill, Ciara’s partner Aoife, Dee, Ken, Éanna, Pete and AnneMarie together with the extended Glynn, Walshe and NicRaghnaill family and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munter Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 12 noon to 1.30 p.m.
At this gathering there will be a short ceremony to celebrate and remember Alan's positive, fun and caring presence in their lives at 1 p.m. Removal at 2 p.m. to Shannon Crematorium for a private Committal Service therein at 4 p.m.
