Formerly of Coolmuckbane, Co. Monaghan and Killascobe, Menlough, Co. Galway. (Retired Detective Sergeant, Garda Síochána, Monaghan.) Thomas died peacefully at Saint John’s Hospital, Limerick on 19th of February 2025. Predeceased by his siblings Mary, Nora, and Jim. Sadly missed by Freda, his loving wife of 60 years, and his children Vourneen, Padraic, Sean, and Eileen, daughters-in-law Alison and Gloria, son-in-law John, and daughter’s partner Ross. Missed by his grandchildren Ciara, Luke, Aisling, Róisín, Leah, Siena, Niamh, and Ashford, his brother Paddy, his sisters-in-law Mary and Maura, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home in Ahawilk V42 XT50 on Friday 21st February from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West on Saturday morning 22nd February for the funeral mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards at Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle West.
